‘Press Trip’ – taking the lid off journalists’ jollies

We don’t usually blow our own trumpet, but we are thrilled to announce the publication – as an e-book on Amazon – of “Press Trip”, by Robin Mead.

It’s a lengthy tome, and combines autobiography and Fleet Street memories with an extensive travelogue. You’ll meet plenty of larger-than-life characters on its pages; in fact, if you were working in travel in the money-is-no-object golden days of the 1970s and early 1980s, you might well be among them! Take a light-hearted trip around the world with Robin, some of his fellow travel writers, and a selection of peripatetic PR people.

There are no firm plans at present to publish “Press Trip” in a traditional print format – but you never know. The snag is that a printed book would have to retail at £10. Meanwhile, you can go to Amazon (amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/AS…) and download the book on to your Kindle or similar device for £1.95. Not a bad price, eh?
